Athletics Carnival | Years 5–12

Students from Years 5–12 recently came together at Chapman Oval for a dynamic and enjoyable Athletics Carnival filled with energy, participation and team spirit. Representing the four elements of Water, Fire, Earth and Air, students proudly incorporated their team colours of blue, red, green and yellow, bringing a bright and uplifting atmosphere to the oval.

Large team tents created welcoming spaces for students to gather between the action, offering shade, refreshments and opportunities to connect and encourage one another throughout the day. The strong sense of house spirit was evident across all year levels, with students supporting their peers and participating with enthusiasm.

The program included a variety of track and field activities such as sprint races, distance running, tug of war, javelin and novelty events, allowing students to challenge themselves in different ways while enjoying the experience of working together as a team.

Within Steiner education, opportunities for movement and physical challenge are deeply valued as part of supporting the developing child. Events such as the Athletics Carnival encourage perseverance, cooperation, confidence and healthy social connection, while also creating moments of joy and shared achievement.

Thank you to the teachers and staff whose preparation, support and encouragement contributed to such a positive and successful day for our students.
