Autumn in Early Childhood at Rosewood, Kurrajong and Bluebell unfolds as a time of wonder. Classroom displays have transformed into harvest settings, captivating the imaginations of little ones.
Last week each cohort celebrated the Harvest Festival through songs, movement and wholesome food from the earth. Children were guided to contribute to abundant and colourful fresh produce displays, further deepening their sense of purpose and connection between garden to table.
Festivities came together in circle, picks of the harvest where celebrated, fruits and freshly baked bread were eaten, an absolute delight and feast for the eyes.
These seasonal festivals hold special significance in the early years, offering rich, memorable and sensory experiences, while developing children’s understanding of the yearly rhythms, and their place within it.
