A letter from our Early Childhood Coordinator Kira
Term 1 at Early Childhood
The term has moved quickly in Early Childhood this year. We have welcomed many new children into our community and farewelled almost 40 of our older children as they transition into our kindergarten classrooms. I do enjoy walking past Acacia and being warmly greeted by familiar faces stopping to say hello. It is beautiful to witness them settling into a place of belonging and continue their journey with our kindergarten teachers in Primary.

As I begin my third year, I reflect on the many small changes we have made while staying true to our core beliefs. We have navigated important child safety updates, introduced digital systems in a way that remains unobtrusive to the children, and responded to our community’s needs by offering more flexible options for care. I believe it is rare in early childhood education to say with true conviction that relationships with families are at the heart of what we do, something our team demonstrates every day.
We are fortunate to have a warm and engaged cohort this year, along with a dedicated group of Class Parent representatives. Thank you for your support, particularly in preparing for last Friday’s beautiful Harvest Festival.
While there is always more to do, I feel confident we are moving forward with intention and a continued commitment to always offer our community the best practice in Early Childhood education.
Warm regards, Kira
