Year 3 Ingelara Farm Excursion

Year 3 students recently enjoyed an excursion to Ingelara Farm, a working organic biodynamic family farm located near Bumbalong in regional New South Wales. Surrounded by rolling countryside, students were immersed in the rhythms of farm life and experienced firsthand the care and stewardship involved in sustainable agriculture.

Excursions such as these offer valuable opportunities for children to deepen their connection with the natural world through direct experience. Within Steiner education, meaningful engagement with the land supports a growing understanding of where food comes from, the cycles of nature and the importance of caring for the environment. Spending time together outdoors also encourages cooperation, curiosity and an appreciation for the simple beauty of rural life.
