On their way to the MultiCultural festival, Chinese family Chi Yan (Orana ECE Teacher’s Assistant), Orana student, Tin Ching and sister Kwan, along with members of Australian Australia China Friendship Society ACT Branch, Orana family, Rosa, Andrew and Sol, popped in to the P& F shop and put up Chinese New Year’s decorations.
The various symbols are thought to attract benevolent spirits and a blessing for the year filled with peace and good health. The coins on the door handle attract good fortune which is timely for the P and F Association’s exciting fundraising plans ahead.
Even a mini lion dance was performed to help with protecting the beautiful shop and the hardworking altruistic committee, which is led by the dedicated President and mum of three, Gemma Rose.
