A wrap up of Term 3

The celebration of the seasonal Festivals is an enriching part of our school’s cultural and community life. Through art, music, story and poetry, the children are helped to identify and recognise the changing rhythms of the earth.

We have celebrated our Spring Festival with colour, music, dancing and games. This cheerful event sees the children weaving wreaths of delicate flowers to wear in their hair and it gives the Class 5 children an opportunity to share their recorder playing with the school community and to celebrate and lead this magical event.

Our Early Childhood families gather for a separate celebration of singing and flower crown making.

It’s a great day in the life of the school and we are grateful to everyone involved in its organisation and running.

Staffing Changes

We would like to thank and acknowledge the work of Carmen Seipp as one of the current class 2 teachers. We wish Carmen and her family well with their new home and adventures in Perth. Carmen will be sorely missed by her students and parents as well as her colleagues.

I would also like to acknowledge and thank Aine Barker for her assistance in covering Sue Mayer whilst she was on leave for Term 3 as the Early Childhood Coordinator. Aine is a local, so I’m sure we will continue to see her around the school.

We hope the spring holiday period with your children is an enjoyable chance to reconnect with one another and a chance to take care of each other and especially of yourself. We look forward to seeing you in the new term where we have plenty of events occurring.
