Congratulations to Y8 students Alex and Rufus who have been accepted into the the Canberra Mathematics Enrichment Programme which consists of enrichment sessions, and the option of participating in the Australian Training Tournament (ATT), a competition in which students exercise their newly acquired mathematical skills.
The programme is organised in conjunction with the Australian Mathematics Trust at the University of Canberra and is about enrichment rather than acceleration through the school syllabus. Students will be exposed to a range of extra-curricular material, with an emphasis on solving problems in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
The aims of the Programme are to:
- foster enjoyment in mathematics;
- develop problem-solving skills;
- prepare for the Australian Training Tournament (ATT)
