In the Week 8 Leaflet, we mentioned that there had been a few gates that had gone missing and that they had been turned into wonderful creations to bring some extra interest and visual excitement to our School.
Well, here they are. Our Year 9 and Year 10 Metalwork students have created these gates out of old bike parts and cogs. They have also made these wonderful fairy doors that will be placed around the school for the younger students to keep an eye out for. If you have the opportunity to visit the campus, make sure you keep an eye out for them.
We have also seen some very creative handwork over the past few weeks from our primary aged students. Cheryl opened up the library at lunchtimes throughout June for students who wanted to bring their knitting along as well as enjoy a bit of warmth and some like-minded company. There were quite a few scarves and arm warmers being brought to life. Ainslie from Class 5 also completed this knitted pillow that she made the smaller components for, before hand-stitching them together. It is a very well-made piece of practical art.
