To enhance their understanding of Archimedes’ principle of buoyancy, students are set the challenge of designing a method to get a rock to hover in the middle of a large fish tank. In their Main Lesson of the Physics of Fluids, the Year 8 students came up with a range of innovative designs to allow their rock to hover.
