Class 4 Camp at Birrigai

This term, Class 4 went to Birrigai for a 3-day, 2-night camp over in Tidbinbilla. This camp was a continuation of our work studying Indigenous History and Culture. We learnt about the fundamentals of making campfires, how to live in a tribe and use Country to survive. We were told truth-telling stories on how Aboriginal Australians lived thousands of years ago and a real recount of their history. We went for hikes and gained an appreciation for Country, including how to care for the land. The students all had a marvellous time and were happy to be around their peers. It was a great experience for their first ever camp.
