Class 8 Day Activity – Bounce Belconnen

Class 8 Day Activity – Bounce Belconnen

On 19th May, the students of Class 8 had an exciting day activity as part of their Guardian program. The aim of the outing was to promote teamwork, engage with collaborative behaviour and to encourage physical activity among the students while providing them with a fun and engaging experience.

To kickstart the day, the students were divided into teams and engaged in a thrilling trivia challenge. The activity took place at Belconnen Mall, where teams had to work together to answer a series of trivia questions. The twist was that the answers to the questions were located on the top floor of the mall, requiring the students to navigate and explore the mall while finding the answers.

After completing the trivia challenge, the students proceeded to the next part of the activity — a two-hour session at Bounce, a trampoline venue known for its energetic and fun-filled atmosphere. This session was designed to provide the students with an outlet for physical activity and to reinforce the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle.

During their time at Bounce, the students were able to engage in a variety of activities such as trampoline jumping, dodgeball, and basketball on trampolines. These activities not only promoted physical fitness but also encouraged teamwork and collaborative behaviour. The students had the opportunity to work together, communicate effectively and support each other while participating in the different challenges and games.

The day activity for Class 8 was a resounding success, offering a combination of educational and recreational experiences. The trivia challenge at Belconnen Mall encouraged teamwork and critical thinking, while the session at Bounce promoted physical activity and collaborative behaviour. The students thoroughly enjoyed the outing and gained valuable skills and knowledge in the process. Such activities contribute significantly to the holistic development of students and in promoting inclusive and respectful behaviour within the cohort.
