Welcome back and fresh welcomes to new families in early childhood.
Needless to say we are all well rested after the break and well settled back into the routine at Orana. A few grumbles from adults are perhaps signals that we are tired of winter and scraping the frost off our cars in the morning. No doubt we will soon hear of the first buds or blossoms observed. The future focus is felt as our educators are busy interviewing prospective parents and their children for places in our early childhood environments next year. However, in our educators everyday work the focus is on your children in the here and now as we acknowledge and nurture the natural drive of young children to develop towards the future. The children are so fortunate to share in the lovingly prepared environments in the early childhood rooms. The strong rhythm, routine and repetition strengthen the child’s sense of security and brings a sense of peace to the onlooker.
With an opportunity to imitate life in a simple and wholesome way, there is nowhere we would rather be.
Wishing you all a peaceful Term 3.
Warmly,
The Early Childhood Team.
