Fun in the learning

Year 9 Bowling and Hiking

On our recent Year 9 excursion, students enjoyed a fun-filled and active day beginning with tenpin bowling at Belconnen. The atmosphere was full of laughter and friendly competition, with students showing great sportsmanship and cheering each other on. After the excitement of bowling, we headed to Mt Ainslie for a scenic hike. The walk was a fantastic opportunity for the group to work together, support one another, and enjoy the natural beauty of Canberra. Throughout the day, students remained positive and engaged, demonstrating teamwork, resilience, and a strong sense of class spirit. It was a memorable day that balanced fun and physical activity while strengthening connections among students and staff.

Year 7 Art and Bowling

Our Class 7 Guardian Excursion to Timezone Bowling and the National Botanical Gardens was a resounding success. Students engaged enthusiastically in both recreational and educational experiences. The morning began with team-building and friendly competition at Timezone Bowling, promoting social interaction, coordination, and cooperation in a fun, inclusive setting. In the afternoon, the group explored the National Botanical Gardens, where they participated in a landscape art lesson. Surrounded by natural beauty, students were encouraged to observe their environment closely and translate what they saw into visual expression. The combination of active play and creative exploration made for a well-rounded and memorable day for all involved.

Cubby building in the Playground

Penny, Ida, Ruby, Aurora, and Joy from 5SG put together a cubby behind the Amphitheatre classroom. They created this cubby for fun during their break times and when you walk inside, it is spacious and protected from the elements. They worked hard all week, bringing large logs and branches over to create this beautiful cubby.
