Orana has held some amazing performances over the previous weeks, applauding three different year levels for their on stage acting through classic tales such as Ned Kelly, the Invisible Man and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Ned Kelly – Year 6RA
At the end of last term, students in 6RA performed a play about the life of Ned Kelly. The performance was able to show the charismatic personality of Ned and his gang while also pointing out the perils of a life of crime. The students performed brilliantly which showed off their hard work as they brought the characters and the times the lived in to life once again.
A Mid Summer Night’s Dream – Class 8
Class 8 students took on the challenging task of performing Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Through countless hours of rehearsal, collaboration, and hard work, they managed to bring the complex play to the stage. The performance was a testament to their dedication and effort, as they navigated the intricate plot and characters. The production may not have been flawless, but the earnest endeavor of the young actors made it a valuable learning experience for all involved.
The Invisible Man – Class 6 JG
Class 6 JG excelled in their rendition of a very gripping tale of the Invisible Man. Drawers the opened and chairs moved seemingly all on their own accord to add to the immersive acting by the students. The costuming, lighting and acting made it really feel that there was an invisible man on stage and the live music provided a wonderful emotion to the story. Well done to all involved!
