The Junior Science Olympiad (JSO) program is designed to motivate and challenge Years 7 to 10 students who have a passion for Science. We want to encourage and support them to embrace Science in their education and for their future careers.
Australia, and the world, needs Science now more than ever…!
Their journey begins with the JSO Exam, a fantastic way to challenge Science students in a range of Science topics, such as Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, and Physics.
It can help you extend their Science knowledge and develop their exam experience.
From the exams, eligible high achieving students are selected for the next stages, including the JSO Spring School and International Junior Science Olympiad team who represent Australia overseas in December. Students who sit the exam also have the opportunity to be invited to the JSO Training Squad and JSO Academy.
Mark your calendars! This year the exam dates are:
- Years 9 and 10 – Wednesday 12 June
- Years 7 and 8 – Friday 14 June
