It all started with Thomas the Tank engine when he was younger, but now Massi’s passion for steam trains has grown and he generously offered to bring in his locomotive to share that passion with his fellow Orana students.
There was a lot of excitement outside the Library as classes came to view the display. The steam train’s whistle blew and steam rose from the smoke stack as Massi demonstrated and answered questions about his 3 ½ inch gauge locomotive such how it works, what fuel it runs on and how he keeps it maintained.
Massi also shared how his passion has taken him to some amazing places chasing trains including being able to spend his week of year 10 work experience in Tasmania on the Heritage Line where he was even able to ride and work on the real locomotives.
Thanks Massi for sharing this exciting passion.
