South Netball School Championships
A big day out for our netballers as they hit the courts at the south zone champs. After a few weeks of lunchtime training in preparation for the event it was great to out and play. The relative inexperience of our 7/8 team led to a few challenges early but their persistence paid off as they completed their day with a well earned win in front of their bigger sisters in netball, our 9/10 team who were cheering them home! The senior girls were awesome all day! A talented team that worked well and supported each other throughout the day and really enjoying each others company and contribution to the team success. With most of the games being close the girls managed to finish undefeated through the pool games and into the finals playoff. A well drilled opposition got the better of us in the semi finals which saw our finals run dashed. Congratulations to all athletes who took to the court representing Orana as you did us all proud! Thanks also to Sharon, Poppi and Zoe for helping the teams throughout the tournament.
Awarang Winter Netball Championship Winners
The Year 5 Orana Bonfires were crowned the champions of the Arawang Winter Netball Championships last weekend. What a mighty effort to all those involved. Congratulations to the team and their coach Eleanor. Well Done!
