This painting task we are looking at ‘Plein Air Painting’ (painting outdoors) and Impressionism. In particular we are exploring the work of Vincent Van Gogh who painted outdoors and produced impressionistic works that challenged the way we see the world.
We are looking closely at how different trees have their own character, and how the use of various brush techniques can be used with acrylic paint to produce shapes, lines and textures that capture this character.
