Year 6 were invited by the National Museum of Australia to perform at the Greek Cultural Festival, the Agora, on Saturday 12th February as part of the Ancient Greek Exhibition. The students performed both a singing piece, Glorious Apollo, and a recorder piece, Greek Round Dance, on the day.
Year 6 students worked with focus and determination each day at school in the two-week lead up to the event and delivered a beautiful performance to the many people who attended the event on Saturday.
A huge thank you to the Music teachers who gave us support on the day and to Barbara Jerjen who provided us with the initial transposition of the Greek Round Dance.
Well done Year 6, you were all amazing! We look forward to many more wonderful opportunities to bring your music to the stage this year.
