On 16th October 2023, Orana hosted a ThinkUKnow Presentation.
The presentation was delivered by a local law enforcement member and a volunteer from Microsoft. The presentation provided insight into technology, ideas on how to manage your children having access to technology and highlighted the potential risks to children.
The presentation encourages us to have open conversations with our children about what they are doing online, the things they might be seeing online, and ultimately encourages families to build children’s critical thinking ability and encourage help seeking behaviour.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about young people and the online environment, and how you can help them to be safe and responsible users of technology.
