Year 6 Orientation
This week we were delighted to have Year 6 students visit elective spaces to participate in creative workshops. In Visual Art, students engaged in a variety of art drawing tasks and explored charcoal as a drawing medium. An investigating on how we create a 3-dimensional image, capturing the line detail in the human eye and observation vs imaginative drawing techniques. Students completed such beautiful work during our busy afternoon.
Year 8/9 Visual Art Moth Project
The Moth Project which includes 11 large and 4 smaller panel paintings, was designed as an additional task which was optional for students to engage with at the completion of class work, over the whole semester. This creative extension task allowed students to work in small groups or individually. Ideas for the project began with class discussion of our local environment and the diverse range of wildlife we enjoy around our school.
Students from across the visual art classes and primary school have been working on these large wooded Moth Panels, which have now been completed.
Thank you to all those students, for their hard work and enthusiasm.
