Winter Festival, Lantern Walk and Acoustic Soup

Winter Festival

The Orana Winter Festival will be held on the top oval on Wednesday 26 June (Week 9).

All children from Kindergarten to Class 7 will be involved and all High School and Senior College students are encouraged to attend.

The Festival will commence with a lantern spiral walk followed by the Class 7 firestick performance. Students from Kindergarten to Class 7 are to arrive at their classrooms at 5pm and parents are asked to be in place on the Top Oval by 5.20pm.

Students are to be collected by parents and guardians from classrooms at the conclusion of the Festival. We hope that you will all be able to stay for Acoustic Soup directly after the Winter Festival.

Acoustic Soup

The college and P&F will be hosting Acoustic Soup on Wednesday after the Winter Festival in the Overture, where warm, tasty soup and drinks will be sold by the P&F.

A special part of the event involves a blackboard concert of acoustic music, poetry or comedy from where parents and students can share a short performance in an encouraging and friendly environment. If you have any questions, speak with Michael T. You are welcome to turn up on the night and share.

Early Childhood Lantern Festival

The Early Childhood Lantern Festival will be held on Friday 28 June (Week 9). Please meet at Kurrajong at 4.50pm for the commencement of the lantern walk. The Lantern Festival is a magical festival of light and reverence as the children give back seeds to Mother Earth for planting all winter long and then in the Spring seeing the joy they bring.
