Celebrating the Christmas Festival

Over the last few weeks, the sounds of singing have echoed around the school with a celebratory air. It has been a time of reflecting, marking milestones, celebrating achievements, expressing gratitude and giving good wishes for the future.

In the Primary School, students have been learning old and new carols for the Christmas season. The words encapsulate aspirations of hope, peace, equity and love. Images of stars and light abound.

Next week, all the students will gather together during the day on Thursday to sing and celebrate. Each class will bring their own ‘gift’ of a song or spoken words to the celebrations before spending time together with class ‘buddies’.

On Tuesday 6 December, the High School Performance Group and the Primary and High School Choirs will present a musical celebration of the Christmas Festival for the community. There will be stories, orchestral and choral offerings and community singing. This will be in Overture Hall from 6.30pm to approximately 7.30pm.
