A new term has started, and we are looking forward to an exciting time ahead in the Primary School with many events and celebrations scheduled across all Year levels. Term 3 is always a busy time as the depths of Winter start to creep away and the first buds of Spring begin to emerge. The School grounds come alive again with the warmth of the sun, the buzz of activity and the anticipation of learning opportunities to come.
We began the term with the return of the weekly Dance Program for Years 1 to 4 with Susan McInnis, from Dance4Fitness, where students have an opportunity to consolidate movement and coordination skills in a safe and supportive environment. Likewise, Year 4 are studiously applying these movement and fitness skills to learning the Maypole dances in preparation for the Spring Fair later in the year. Meanwhile, Year 5 are busily preparing for the Spring Festival later in the term, which will be a vivid celebration of seeds and the miracle and power of life inside them.
Book Week returns this term with a week of engaging events for all Year levels, from book swaps and fundraising to a Costume Parade and author talks and workshops. Lastly, Musica Viva is back with another fantastic ensemble “Taking Shape” for Years 1 to 6 classes later this term. We wish all our Primary School students and families a wonderful term ahead and we look forward to sharing these special events with our wider School community.
