Recently some of our students have been recognised for their efforts in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), the International Competitions and  Assessments for Schools (ICAS) and the Bronze Duke of Edenborough Awards.

The AMC is an opportunity for students to challenge themselves and extend their problems solving skills. This year we had a number of students volunteer to participate in this event.

  • Juliet Withycombe (Credit) – Class 12

International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS)

This year we had a number of students volunteer to challenge their scientific thinking with the ICAS Science.
Congratulations to the following students:

  • Rufus Saville (Distinction) – Class 7
  • Alexander Furphy (Distinction) – Class 7
  • Hugo Brown (High Distinction) – Class 9

Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards

The Duke of Edinburgh Award requires participants to spend their time developing their skills in a range of areas as well as undertake a number of Adventurous Journeys (usually referred to as hikes). Participants are expected to keep logs of their activities, write reports and liaise with the public in order to demonstrate what they have achieved over a significant time period.

Congratulations to Callum, Samson, Joss, Ruby, Bonnie and Tom who have recently achieved their Bronze Awards.
