In this Main Lesson we aim to explore the connection between algebraic and graphical representations of a range of functions and relations. The students use mathematical equations to create these lines and shapes and manipulate these forms. The result is an image where the mathematics is hidden. These images have been created using hundreds of mathematical equations, a small of the sample of the equations used can be seen. In this Main Lesson we have applied Steiner’s idea of working from first principals to apply mathematical concepts in a creative and individual way.
