Working Bee Success

Following the success of last year’s P&F Working Bees, it was decided to continue this new tradition into 2024. Last Sunday (17th March), the P&F successfully ran the first Working Bee for this year, with the main focus on assisting our wonderful Orana Site Team to prepare the new ‘Ironbark’ gardens and surrounds, ahead of the official opening of the new building on Wednesday 27 March.

Over 20 volunteers, including students spent the morning shovelling, raking, mulching, weeding and cleaning up gardens from the top turning circle all the way down to the new building gardens. In addition, we had some very talented volunteers sewing ceiling baffles for classrooms, with two full baffles already completed!

Thank you to all of the hard-working volunteers who participated on the day, to our Principal, James for coming along to assist with the gardening, and Nick and Jimmy from the Site Team for their support and guidance.

The Working Bee concluded with a well-deserved complimentary BBQ lunch!

The P&F looks forward to hosting further Working Bees throughout the year.
